About Us

SEOT, Inc. was incorporated in 1992, and was located at 2130 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette, Louisiana. During this year, the Total Operational Management System (TOMS) was designed and implemented.

In 1994, a Production Safety System Program (T2) was implemented.

In 1995, computerized pulmonary function, audiometric, fit testing, and vision testing equipment were purchased to make it easier for our customers to comply with the OSHA standards.

In 1996, our operations were expanded by the creation of Safety Compliance and Training, Inc. (SCAT, Inc.) in Ponca City, Oklahoma. This office serviced our customers in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, North Texas, and the Texas Panhandle with the same services provided at the Lafayette location.

In 1997, a 17,000 sq. ft. facility on 3 1/2 acres of land was purchased to accommodate SEOT Inc.'s expanding business. SEOT, Inc. is now located at 1300 Bertrand Dr., Lafayette, Louisiana 70506.

In 1998, the SCAT Ponca City office was moved to Houston, Texas to better service customers from Midland/Odessa west to Corpus Christi south.

In 2003, a second SCAT office was opened in Victoria Texas to inprove customer services to that area.

SEOT Inc. operations have also been enhanced in the following ways:

  • A mobile pulmonary, fit testing, and sight-testing unit is capable of traveling where required.
  • A mobile functional Production skid was designed to go with our T-2 class.
  • A hands-on Fire Fighting class was implemented.
  • A confined space entry tank to complement the training.
  • A mobile confined entry, Fall Protection / LOTO training trailer was purchased.
  • A trailer-mounted crane was built for customer site crane/rigger training.
  • Mobile training/testing units were added to every SEOT Inc. location.

In 2007, both Texas divisions were brought under the SEOT, Inc. name. Now, all three locations operate as one company to better service customers that have multiple locations in various states.

In 2008, SEOT, Inc. is publishing a new web site to allow for more information to be relayed to each customer on many different levels. In conjunction with the new web site, SEOT, Inc. is also implementing a new CORE operating system which will allow for all customers to review and retrieve a copy of Cards, Certificates, Reports and any other documentation developed by SEOT, Inc. that might be needed in case of accidental loss of this information, audits or simply used as a back up record keeper.

In 2008, SEOT, Inc. goals are to develop a new division within all 3 locations focused strictly on Safety Consulting and Auditing. This will allow for more time of our current Compliance Specialist to spend on training, safety meetings and facility inspections, while allowing for those lengthier and time consuming jobs to be carried out by our Safety Technicians who specialize in Consulting and Auditing. This division has begun hiring and placing consultants on long and short term jobs alike.
