Course Description

OSHA has issued this standard to protect employees from bloodborne diseases like hepatitis and the human immuno-deficiency virus (HIV). This course teaches the employee about these pathogens and the proper procedures and equipment used to prevent the transmission of these diseases.

Course Compliance Requirements

The OSHA Bloodborne Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) requires Medical First Responders, EMT's, and any person who may respond in a first aid manner and/or any person who's job duties require him/her to come in contact with body fluids to be trained in Bloodborne Pathogens. This course requires requires a yearly refresher.
