Confined Space Entry Basic Training

View Calendar...

Course Description

This Confined Space Entry Training program is designed specifically for employees who are required to enter confined spaces to clean, repair or perform testing activities. The two components of the program include confined space entry and emergency rescue. The confined space entry segment includes pre-entry and post-entry procedures and operational monitoring requirements. This course also covers Respiratory Protection which meets the training requirements of the respiratory protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134). Also, emergency rescue procedures are practiced so the participant will know what to do if an accident occurs. Risks to workers in confined spaces can be greatly reduced by the proper use of this program in the field.

Course Compliance Requirements

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 requires that workers be trained in the proper use of appropriate safe confined entry procedures and equipment before entering confined spaces to work.
