Supervisor EAP Training
Course Description
A crucial piece of alcohol and drug ruling involves the sensitive responsibility of the supervisor in determining when testing for "reasonable suspicion" should be administered. Equally important is the manner in which this information is conveyed to the employee. The information in this program is designed to provide the supervisor information and support as the supervisor assumes his responsibility. The Supervisors' Training will consist of the following:
- Rules surrounding reasonable suspicion testing
- Approaches to use when confronting a covered employee
- Effects of drug and alcohol on the body
Course Compliance Requirements
49 CFR 382.603 requires an annual update and refreshers of training for all EAP Supervisors. This will include 60 minutes on drug and 60 minutes on alcohol.
