Transportation of Hazardous Materials Training
Course Description
This course is designed to train employees who in the course of employment directly affects the safe transportation of hazardous materials. The course will provide the student with information about existing regulatory control over shipping, receiving, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials. Included is a brief review of historical events leading to the present structure of regulatory control over hazardous materials, international shipments of hazardous materials, regulatory handling of matter referenced throughout the regulations, and procedures for reporting incidents involving hazardous materials.
Course Compliance Requirements
The Department of Transportation (DOT 49 CFR Parts 100 to 177 and HM126-F/181) requires that the employer train all personnel if their job duties require them to perform and duties related to shipping, receiving, handling, and/or transportation of hazardous materials.
