Course Description

This 24 hour program is designed to give the Radiation Wireline Operator and helper a better understanding of proper handling and operating procedures for Radiation Wireline Operations and prepares them for certification.

Course Compliance Requirements

The Recommended Practices for Development of a Safety and Environmental Management Program for Radiation Wireline requires that Wireline Radiation Operator be certified as per Federal Code Title 33 Paragraph 2020.

  8. Health Physics regarding Actual Field Studies
  9. Safety Procedures

DAY 2

  1. Storage and Waste Disposal of Radioactive Materials
  2. Records, Reports, and Licensing Requirements
  3. The Transportation of Radioactive Materials
  4. Storage Facilities and Procedures
  5. General Procedures for Handling Radioactive Isotopes on Location

DAY 3

  1. Review Of Material
  2. TEST
  3. Hands On Demonstration
